Silverstone is a 5.9 km, 18-turn circuit built on a former WWII RAF airfield, which hosted the first ever Formula 1 World Championship race in 1950. It has held the British Grand Prix every year since 1987 and is one of only a handful of original 1950 venues still on the calendar. The circuit has a capacity of around 164,000 and is renowned for its fast, flowing corners.
