Silverstone Circuit seating plan & guide
Silverstone is a 5.9 km, 18-turn circuit built on a former WWII RAF airfield, which hosted the first ever Formula 1 World Championship race in 1950. It has held the British Grand Prix every year since 1987 and is one of only a handful of original 1950 venues still on the calendar. The circuit has a capacity of around 164,000 and is renowned for its fast, flowing corners.
Best grandstands
Covered, elevated stand over the high-speed Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel sweeps, showing cars at full aero load.
A large wrap-around stand around the fast Stowe corner, one of the circuit's best overtaking zones.
High rows here see Stowe, Vale and Club plus the run down the start/finish straight toward Abbey.
Insider tips
- Every Silverstone grandstand ticket includes the same reserved seat for all three days (Friday-Sunday).
- The British summer is unreliable, so a covered stand like Becketts is worth it; otherwise pack waterproofs.
