Circuit de Monaco: Sitzplan & Guide
The Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit run through the streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine, first used for the Monaco Grand Prix on 14 April 1929. It is the slowest and tightest track on the F1 calendar and has the smallest capacity of any Grand Prix venue, around 37,000 spectators of which roughly 22,000 are in grandstands. It remains one of the four circuits from the 1950 inaugural F1 World Championship still on the calendar today.
Best grandstands
Near Turns 16-18 by the swimming-pool exit and pit entry; the upper sections give standout pit-lane and garage views.
Sits on the harbour at Tabac corner; higher rows (K1-K3) overlook the yachts and braking into the chicane.
At the Turn 1 right-hander, the spot for first-lap start drama and the rare overtake into Sainte Dévote.
Insider-Tipps
- Monaco's overall capacity is tiny and grandstands sell out early, so book well ahead; only two limited general-admission areas exist (Tabac and La Rocher hill).
- Higher rows are worth paying for here as they see over the safety fences and catch more of the narrow, wall-lined track.
