The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is a 54-acre tennis complex in the California desert that opened in March 2000 and hosts the BNP Paribas Open each March, the largest combined ATP and WTA event outside the Grand Slams. Its main court, Stadium 1, seats about 16,100 — the second-largest tennis-specific stadium in the world after Arthur Ashe. Stadium 2, opened in 2014, is the second show court.
